Circular areas are used in various sizes and arrangements as a recurring design element in all media. The position of the circle on the format is variable, whereas the dimensions and the gate are defined.

Depending on the application, the circular areas are filled with picture motives or white titles on blue ground.

Circular section on one side:
The one-sided section of a circular surface is at least 1/6 of its diameter or a multiple thereof.

Circular section on two sides:

On one side the circle gets cut exactly in the middle. On the other side, it gets cut at least 1/6, but it can be positioned freely.

Circle areas cut on three sides:
In case of a three-sided section, the diameter of the circle has the triple size of the format width or the fomat height and has a centered position.
